Light is a behavior, not a snapshot

Give your piece a global light state and describe how it evolves: "opens overcast rain-grey, darkens to bruise-purple as the column eclipses the sky." When the light changes, name the motivation — the eclipse, the sunset, the explosion — so the audience understands rather than suspects a glitch.

Specify how the light travels through the piece, not what it looks like in one frame.
