Choose your backend for where you're going

Don't confuse "the starter tier hit a ceiling" with "this tool cannot scale" — you outgrew the toy version, not the technology. Pick production infrastructure for the destination: vector storage you'll need later, pricing you can afford now, and authentication handled properly by default, because storing people's data badly is the difference between a product and a lawsuit.
